The Chill Project
The Chill Project is a deeply personal exploration of the interplay between nature and art, where I transform the textures of ice and rock into tangible expressions of our planet's chilling transformation. Inspired by the stark beauty of Antarctica and the urgency of environmental change, I embarked on a journey to capture the essence of cold in cast glass.
My artistic journey has been a continuous process of learning and evolution. The Antarctic Artists and Writers Program grant in 2006 served as a pivotal turning point, igniting my fascination with geological textures and their potential to illuminate environmental light within my sculptures.
Through the Chill Project, I invite viewers to embark on a journey of reflection, to consider the delicate balance between humanity and the natural world, and to appreciate the beauty that lies within even the most frigid environments.
